Hanson Hills Recreation Area is a year-round outdoor playground in northern Michigan covering more than 4,000 acres of forests, hills, and trails. It’s known for mountain biking loops that range from beginner to expert, scenic hiking routes, and winding singletrack. In winter the area turns into a hub for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on groomed trails. Hanson Hills also offers fat-bike friendly terrain, picnic spots, and nature views that reward explorers of all skill levels.
